I want all things to make sense
So we'll be happy instead of tense.

For better or worse, they just don't write lyrics like that anymore.

Try the Ambrosia: It's Nice Nice Veddy Nice!

I really hate their exaggerated pronunciations in this: "de jungle daahhk," "Bdddittish queen," "Gingerrrrr RRRRRogerrrrs."  Not very nice to my ears, though the song's otherwise fine.

Yah, I always thought that was kind of annoying.  I wonder what they were thinking.

well, you didn't have to suffer long -- the replay crapped out!

I suspect you'd like "Dance With Me George" from their follow-up album.

It's not you.  Annalisa just said that the thing crashed, so here's U2.  Not exactly 75.

The Classic 10at10 went haywire, so Annalisa "is waiting for engineers"
Hey, I've got some 10at10 tapes she can borrow.

BOS1 to FMac, at any rate.  Is this the same set or a different one?

Their exagerrated pronunciation makes sense when they're talking about upper crustys and everything's nice nice veddy nice.  It helps make the song.

OK, fine, but then why do they say "Frawnce", but then not rhyme it with "dawnce"?  That's the part I've always noticed.  In a bad way.  All that said, I like this song.  Twice.

Not according to his wikipedia bio--are you thinking of the Smithereens' Pat DiNizio, another rock&roll republican?

However, I did learn that Jeff Baxter is a cowriter of the King of the Hill theme.

I love disco more than Gaz & Alicat combined, but it's an awful record by a talentless amateur. It isn't even well-recorded. Bad on so many levels.  Merv Griffin has a lot to answer for.
I'm not afraid to admit I'm a discoCat!

Super Duper BOS, Journey when they were good -- "Topaz".

YEA, Git Dancin' !

Yuck, this is a mess.  WOS.
Same for me.  I was really trying to figure out why that record exists.

It exists to gives us something to fill up a whole page of posts about!

But here's the real treat!  Topaz = BOS overall.

So is Topaz prog rock or jazz fusion? It kinda treads both sides of the line. (And there's still three songs to go!)

And yeah, Sir Monti really cashed in with Get Dancin'--one has to wonder who blew who to get that record made?

Too funny.  I thought for a second that that ELO song was Cheap Trick.  Pretty similar at that point, both in instrumentation and vocal sound.

I didn't think this set was as earth-shattering as some of you seemed to... but the company and comments have been the best in months! Thank you ALL!!

And another BOS Tavares. it only took Sir Monti a minute.

"I don't dig chicks with short hair -- they're not feminine"  WTF??

But that version of "Tennessee Waltz" -- yikes.  I still remember seeing him do Leonard Cohen's "Suzanne" once. Horrendous.
