Dionne's got the urge feel me!

Then Came Mondegreen: I always thought she was singing

It's plain to see
You're all I'd eat
To satisfy me
Title: Have you ever heard the Hawaiian band Hapa?

OMG! I'm over on CG and they just started playing the original Richard Harris version of MacArthur Park--I haven't heard this in eons.

Betcha a buck that it's an edited version tho--they never play anything longer than about 3 minutes, 50 on CG.

I've heard them play the loooong version. In fact, I can't recall ever hearing an edit of that song anywhere.

Actually, you were right: it was the full version. Knock me over with a feather.

And it was the first song of what's shaping up to be a kind of odd set:

MacArthur Park, followed by the Beatles (yay) She Loves You, followed by Springsteen's Streets of Philadelphia. Talk about your emotional rollercoasters.

nobody edited your post.  I just added the subject line when I made my post (I abhor the vacuum of an empty subject line!)

I haven't heard or seen her smile in a while.  Really liked that song when it came out.  Airy fun a la "When I Think of You" and Amerie's "Why Don't We Fall in Love."

Left me a little empty.

But re: Nelly: He titled his two newest CDs "Sweat" (for the dance tracks) and "Suit" (for the ballads and more adult material).  "Sweat/Suit," get it?  So of course people like me decided to be assholes and insist on calling the collection "Suit Sweat."  Ewwww.

Fittingly, "Sweat" has sold a fraction of the copies of "Suit."

This is Richie Havens with Groove Armada, doing "Going Back to My Roots", a Lamont Dozier song also covered by Odyssey. Listen to it here:
