BOS Percy & Co.  Betting this is a "classic" worthy of the name -- BOS2 "Wishful Sinful".

The rhythm track on this was way ahead of its time, imo. Also Best Vibes of Set.

BOS1, 2 & 3 to the Zeps, the 'Oo and the Brown Savoys.

This set sounded kind of familiar, and I finally found the one it was reminding me of (but not the same one). In June we had a '69 set that also had the Tommy Overture and Beach Boys tunes, as well as a different Zep tune and More Today Than Yesterday in the place of the Foundations cut. Similar but with its own unique charm. Here's the setlist from June 8:

1. CCR - Commotion
2. Sly & The Family Stone - Stand
3. Zombies - Time Of The Season
4. Booker T. & The MGs - Hang 'Em High
5. The Edwin Hawkins Singers - Oh Happy Day (BEST OF SET!!)
6. Led Zep - Babe I'm Gonna Leave You
7. Who - Overture From Tommy
8. Beatles - Ballad of John and Yoko
9. Beach Boys - I Can Hear Music
10. Spiral Staircase - More Today Than Yesterday

could've told you the answer was no, I was driving up from the SJ Gordon Biersch event at this point & recognized this set.  In fact it was played last year on the 3rd Friday of "Local Music Month".

1.) Led Zeppelin - Good Times Bad Times
2.) Doors - Wishful Sinful
3.) Who - Overture/It's a Boy
4.) Savoy Brown - I'm Tired
5.) Steam - Na Na Hey Hey Kiss Him Goodbye
6.) Tyrone Davis - Can I Change My Mind
7.) Jeff Beck - Plynth
8.) Beatles - Here Comes the Sun
9.) Foundations - Build Me Up Buttercup
10.) Beach Boys - I Can Hear Music

ETA: at the event I bumped into our sometime playlist expert Darryl.  He was there with his whole family, taking photos of his little boy getting autographs on a picture he'd drawn for the occasion.  Cute kid.

Dave certainly has his '69 faves that he rotates in and out. There was a time when "Plynth" seemed to be in every other '69 set, for example; Spiral Staircase has been coming on strong for the past year or so.

SS always reminds me of a comedian who used to do a parody of George Carlin: "Why do they call 'em stairs? Ya don't stare at 'em!"

Man, you guys and your acronyms.  I don't remember what ETA stands for.  Where's that Glossary thread again?

Anyways, yes, met mshray.  Funny to have someone randomly come up and say "Is your name Darryl", but he turned out not to be a stalker, so it was cool.

Here's some photos from the event.  Videos to upload soon.  http://darryl.phanfare.com/album/368372

I was actually having Peter Finch autograph my son's artwork when mshray introduced himself to me and Peter.  He explained that I kept records of the 10@10s and I noted that I also kept track of nearly every song KFOG plays (and that the "Delilah" song is currently overplayed around 3-4 times a day).  To this, Peter Finch commented, "Man, you should work in research."

Except my advice would be the same as Brian from San Jose's:  Trust your airstaff, and not your research department.  Stop overplaying songs to death.  Ok, sorry, this should be in the KFOG but not 10@10 thread.

[Hey mshray, or anyone listening to the broadcast:  do you remember the last name of David the melodica player who had an upcoming gig (on piano) at Santana Row?  It's not listed on their site, so I assume it's in one of the smaller venues/performing areas.  I like to link to the URLs of performers and such.  Thanks.]

I dunno if I said this last year when we heard this the first time, but that segue from Mary Jo DrivingBuddy to NNHHKMG is downright ghoulish.

Gaz gives BOS (with a sledgehammer shout to GB in SF) to "Can I Change My Mind," one of the many that Dave's introduced me to over the years.
