When and why did David Bowie cover "America"? Sorry if I missed something obvious but this is my first time hearing this. Sounds a bit circus-y but his voice is in fine form.

"those shoes" on ddt. i always wanted to cover this song, playing drums and singing like don. and then i could change one of the lines, and sing, "where did you get those shoes?"

and now it's a Dave Mason version of "All Along The Watch Tower". I've never heard this before, but I'd recognize his voice just about anywhere.

I've heard it on DDT a few times, but never before then. It's from one of the post-9/11 Concert live albums.

Now that Mr Buffett is doing duets with country stars, I wonder if he still sings the line about "I'm glad I don't live in a trailer" -- he's got a whole new fanbase for whom a trailer would be an upgrade.
