Was Smokey's "More Love" '67 or '68?  I've had that opening piano riff stuck in my head all morning and would love to hear the whole thing.  I often forget how much I love that song.

My bet, though, is "Lady Madonna."

I like my purple DEEP.  Would love Bob or Dave to play the follow-up, a cover of "Kentucky Woman".

I would give BOS to the Grass Roots, but didn't Bob play MC last time he visited '68?

Hoping for some Paul Revere & the Raiders, "Happening '68," next.

It was either Bob or Dave, but we definitely heard it recently.

VHM "I Shall Be Released".

Most Unexpected of Set: "I Shall Be Released."  I'm sure POC would agree that Nina Simone's version trounces this one, though.  (Is this the Band in falsetto?)

BOS to People, "I Love You."  I finally heard the Zombies' version over Christmas, and honestly, just wasn't all that impressed by it.

BOS so far: Buffalo Springfield.   And here's Manfred Mann, another case where I'd've rather heard the follow-up, "My Name is Jack".

"everybody's gonna wanna doze..."

I have always heard/interpreted this line as "Everybody's gonna want a dose."

I knew somebody would say that; I thought the same until I realized that the previous line is "nobody can get no sleep with someone on everyone's toes."

Indeed, it was The Band, from "Music From Big Pink".  Maybe Pink should make an album called "Music From Little Band".

You must have been listening elsewhere last Friday when Mike Sweeney had Colin Blunstone and Rod Argent on the CG Rock Show. I'm pretty sure this was one of the songs they played in between interview segments (and yes, he really did conduct the interview this time).

Indeed, I was SmoothFM-ing on Friday afternoon. Completely spaced on the fact that they were going to be on.  I'll have to see if it's in their website "archives".
