I'll be listening around 11, I hope. Looked at the list, and it's not just the usual suspects.  Well,  a number of those too but a couple interesting rarities.

Is this Ben Folds?

Funny how specific these songs are about particular events. I had no idea they were out there.

Leonard Cohen with an old Morey fave.

Go Bernie!!

Gil Scott Heron uber-BOS, but this is really a 6-way tie for me so far.

Yankee-Doodle Dandy in a Gold Rolls-Royce: This Alice C song plays differently knowing he's a Republican who plays golf with Trump.

Zat right? Very disappointing. I was pretty proud of him for surviving, but if that's what he's into now...

OMG I never heard that 4000 years speech from W. Too funny, especially with the "can't get fooled again" bit.

Haha. Lots of hard to understand lyrics in this one.

Gil Scott Heron uber-BOS, but this is really a 6-way tie for me so far.

As superlative as this track is, it is a shame that so many of Gil Scott-Heron's other politically themed works
have been largely forgotten.  In particular, 1981's "B-Movie" (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xSOp507HJMA), written after Reagan won his first term,
is still startlingly relevant.

"The idea concerns the fact that this country wants nostalgia. They want to go back as far as they can -- even
if it's only as far as last week.  Not to face now or tomorrow, but to face backwards.  And yesterday was the
day of our cinema heroes riding to the rescue at the last possible moment.  The day of the man in the white hat
or the man on the white horse -- or the man who always came to save America at the last moment -- someone
always came to save America at the last moment... especially in 'B' movies.  And when America found itself
having a hard time facing the future, they looked for people like John Wayne.  But since John Wayne was no
longer available, they settled for Ronald Reagan.  And it has placed us in a situation that we can only look at
like a 'B' movie."

Just catching up on the sets I missed while I was on vacay. This seems like a pretty fine effort, one of DW's best, and certainly evokes the spirit Dave would have done. Lots of NTM songs here as well.

Was that an edit of GS-H's The Revolution Will Not Be Televised? I had remembered it as being longer.

Both the Sunnyland Slim and Teegarden songs were good picks.

Elected was pretty much a given. Still, necessary in this context.

Best Segue of Set: W's string of malaprops into WGFA.   (Can't help thinking, however, that in our current situation, the new boss will most definitely NOT be the same as the old boss.)
