Request thread is up.

"Don't Let's Start", TMBG is a fine TOTHK and BOS1. Deputy Dawg-dawg-a-ding-dang!
-
Ferrris Bueller "you could miss it" --> Falco "Rock Me Amadeus". I'dve preferred "Rock Me Jerry Lewis". :)
-
BOS2 BJ, "Matter of Trust", a fine rarity.
-
And we're on a roll: Echo/B-Men "Dancing Horses". Not a rarity but always welcome. BOS3
-
PG has That Voice.
-
Family Ties --> "If She Knew What She Wants", a fab BOS4

Bangles?
Yup. When they were good (and had the good sense to cover other people songs instead of writing dreck like "Eternal Flame").
more Fam Ties --> uber-FF "In the Shape of a Heart"
-
Chernobyl --> "Future's So Bright, I Gotta Hear LNs"
-
more Chernobyl --> Oingo Boingo "Just Another Day"
-
Tyson heavyweight champ --> Iggy "Wild One" another uber-FF. (yeah, he's in town this week, but still.) We were doing real well thru song 6 and then it kinda went downhill...
No bustouts here I don't think.

I'm in agreement-ish, but I do like that Oingo Boingo song. Someone in GS remarked they never got the love for Oingo, and I agree. I think their local appeal down in LA, where they caught the ears of some A&R dude, propelled them onto a national stage, but I'm mostly like "meh."

I had my Oingo Boingo phase, right after the 1988 release of Boingo Alive. It was more a greatest hits album than traditional Live album (the songs we recorded live in studio with no audience), and it had an energy that really worked at the time. I still listen to it now and again, and have a nostalgic response when they are played on the radio...

I've been checking against an archive which I have not been updating regularly. I knew I'd get
bit by that eventually.
