Title: Week of 10/3-10/7
Post by: RGMike on October 03, 2005, 09:31:50 AM
In lieu of KBCO's 10@10, which is MIA this week, I'm listening to last nite's Little Steven show, which got delayed past 10pm due the Niners post-game.

He's saluting the anniversary of Allan Ginsburg's "Howl" and, in an unrelated side-trip, played the Wonders' "That Thing You Do" to lead off a salute to that film (released nine years ago this month).

"the ONE-ders! Get it?"

"Looks like the oh-nee-ders."

OMG2! Teena Marie, "I Need Your Lovin'", followed by Prince, "Pop Life". This show should be piped into Dave's living room to remind him there was soul in the '80s...

wow, Neil D, "Forever in Blue Jeans".  I've always considered that his bordering-on-self-parody period but that sounded nice. What's the opposite of crankypants?

Then I'm wearing the sweetjeans, sweetcakes.

OMG! "Wuthering Heights"!

Some days Dean's show is completely pedestrian, and some days it's amazing. Today has been amazing. And now "Eloise"!

Last CG post of the day: Dean plays the Supes, "Falling In & Out of Love", one of my fave lesser-heard songs of theirs.  Heavenly.
