Mon 8/26/13: Aug 1970

Having heard Casey's 1970 countdown 3 times this weekend... I probably didn't need CCR,  "Spill the Wine", "In the Summertime" "Summertime Blues" or "War" today.

VHM Traffic, Dave Mason and the Doors, however.

and after having heard Neighborhood's cover of "Big Yellow Taxi" thrice, Joni's orig sounds swell.

OMFG: BOSFRA Procol Harum's "Whiskey Train". Haven't heard this in ages.

ETA: had to laugh at this comment on the Peak's FB page: "[the Kenny Wayne and Fuel] alone make August 1998 one of the greatest months in rock & roll history. I play Shimmer now much more than I did then. Looking forward to seeing Kenny Wayne playing with Stephen Stills."

Aug '98? One of the greatest months in R&R history??
