Not a rarity in the realm of 10@10 but it never fails to put a smile on my face nonetheless. VHM. Here's hoping they dig a little deeper for a nugget or two before we're done.

Supertramp "Bloody Well Right"

Wet Willie "Keep On Smilin'"

Wet Willie "Keep On Smilin'"

Just silly - WOS.

So far, nothing I would listen to on purpose. That doesn't mean I hate this stuff, it's just not in my wheelhouse.
-
Bonnie Raitt "Angel From Montgomery"
-
This set is a full-on Dave Morey retread. Down to having pulled a clip from Sammy Davis Jr.'s Manischewitz radio spot.
-
Bonnie Raitt "Angel From Montgomery"
Sweet tune.

Sweet tune.
Yeah, I like this better than songs from her commercial heyday.

Good one from the Dead. Super fast for them.
-
Ah, the tune my pals and I knew as Scarlet Begoninas. (We knew better of course, but there was a typo on the Mobile Fidelity reissue of Mars Hotel that we just ran with).
Geoff, what's the story behind the "ugly rumors" thing? Was there some kind of secret meaning behind those words (upside down and backward) on the cover?

Billy Swan "I Can Help"
-
Billy Swan "I Can Help"
WOS. Never liked this one.
-
David Bowie "Rebel Rebel"

BOS Bowie. Not extremely necessary, but much more my style than the rest of the set.

Great song, no doubt

WOS. Never liked this one.
No like or dislike, but I thought he was trying to rip off Ringo Starr. Which has me scratching my head a bit.

Bonnie Raitt "Angel From Montgomery"
:o
Had no clue this song was almost 40 years old!
-
Will we get a songs from '74 were so short comment? Of course, this set went for the pop charts mostly and skipped the prog.

Was wondering the same thing. Had this set started at 10 on the dot, it wouldn't even be 10:40 yet.

Yeah, there must have been several songs, er, musical suites, released in '74 that were longer than the entire set put together.

Wow, impressive. But still cheezy.

One of the most precise arrangements of theirs. It very quickly became less organized in a live setting. I love it!

He wrote it for Elvis, who turned it down... but who did it in his live shows later on after Swan's version hit #1.
Don't feel like I missed anything major here. And yes, it's totally Morey-licious.

The Sirius Satellite Station called "1st Wave" (channel 33) plays the old school new wave stuff, and I heard Rebel Rebel on the station last week.
