Mon 7/9/12: Piano Pleasures!
Tickle mah ivories, baby.
Starting wiith "Year of the cat". Nice. VHM and another VHM for "Cold As Ice", which might be LN in a '77 set but works here.
BOS1 BJ's "Piano Man". Wasn't this also in the "Harmonica" set recently?
EJ's "Your Song" is one I never need hear again. Ditto "Let it Be" and Hornsby's "Way it Is"
Goodness gracious, BOS2 Jerry Lee Lewis. He's the Killer -- literally, if you believe the stories.
BOS3 Leon -- he's getting LAAAAARGER! And Supertramp are bloody well right.
Imagine there's no 'Trinas...
Al Stewart - Year of the Cat
Foreigner - Cold As Ice
Billy Joel - Piano Man
Beatles - Let It Be
Elton John - Your Song
Jerry Lee Lewis - Great Balls of Fire
Bruce Hornsby & The Range - The Way It Is
Leon Russell - A Song For You
Supertramp - Bloody Well Right
John Lennon - Imagine
FWIW, the Sound (unsurprisingly) did a Piano set last week:
Goodbye Yellow Brick Road - Elton John
Moondance - Van Morrison
Good Golly Miss Molly - Little Richard
Piano Man - Billy Joel
Don't Stop Me Now - Queen
Desperado - Eagles
Layla - Derek & The Dominos
The Way it Is - Bruce Hornsby

Starbuck - Moonlight Feels Right
Rolling Stones - Fool To Cry
aaaack: other than the Frampton rarity, I'm glad I missed this AOR crapfest.

WOS Scorpions to start. I feel an AOR crapfest coming on.
WOS2 Phil Collins. We don't care anymore either, bub.
The Money Man thinks he's in love. Think again, pal.
LN1: APP in the sky.
PG shocks his, er, monkey.
BOS "Somebody's Baby"
WOS3 Starship's completely generic "Can't Find Love".
She's a girl! But "Athena" was a bomb. And not "da bomb", either. Seriously WTF does this mean:
there was a beautiful white horse I saw on a dream stage
He had a snake the size of a sewer pipe living in his rib cage
I felt like a pickled priest who was being flambed
You got me requisitioned, blondie!
LN2: Men at Work
WOS4 CSN "Southern Cross". Sorry, never liked this one.
Scorpions - No One Like You
Phil Collins - I Don't Care Anymore
Eddie Money - Think I'm In Love
Alan Parsons Project - Eye In The Sky
Peter Gabriel - Shock The Monkey
Jackson Browne - Somebody's Baby

HM live Cheap Trick, only 'cause it's "Surrender" and not "IWYTWM".
Even the Petty gets VHM sometimes.

ARS get spooky on Friday the 13th. Heh.
ZZT look good in cheap shades. VHM.
