We may finally get Eddie & the Hot Rods.
But good gawd: deliver us from this bunch of requests (all from the same guy):
"Dreams" Fleetwood Mac
"It Keeps You Running" Doobie Brothers
"Long Time" Boston
"I'm In You" Peter Frampton
"Cold As Ice" Foreigner
sir, may I reccomend Oldies 103.7?

I don't think even 103.7 plays "I'm In You." I can't even remember how it goes.

and that's a *good* thing, as Martha S would say.
We used to call it "the sheep-herders love song" ("I'm in Ewe", har har)

BOS1 "S&D&R&R", OK?
See my tailor. He's called Simon. I know. It's going. To. FIT!

I was thinking LN or even Katrina, but I enjoy it too.
-
LN1: running on empty, all right.

it's certainly a frequent-flier but I doubt it gets any play on The Bone or K-Fox, so I figured whatthehell.

AAAAAACK! Fathead attack in the middle of 10@10!
this song 3 sounds familiar but I can't quite place it. A rarity and possible bustout.
-
What happened there at the end of JB? Two songs playing at once?
I'll give a BOS for Les Dudek. I don't think I've heard "Old Judge Jones" since I was at Stanford and I heard it on an LSJUMB originals tape. I don't think the band ever played it, but it got onto a tape somehow anyway.

Thanks for the Dudek ID -- haven't heard this one in ages. BOS2FRA

"ah knew you'd piss on it -- go ahead, PISS on it!"
nice to hear a diff SNF clip.
But something other than "Night Fever" woulda been nice. LN2.
-
I like "Night Fever". Not gonna piss on it.
-
OMFG: Eddie & the Hot Rods!! finally.
BOS3 to a fantabulous bustout.

NTM, but it sounds an awful lot like the Records' "Starry Eyes". Of course, that's a compliment.

NTM too, and kinda meh, but I think it would grow on me if I heard it a few more times.
I wish I hadn't been concentrating so hard on work during the Les Dudek track. Missed it entirely, though I was right here.
I am going my own way to get some coffee right now. LN, FM.
-
LN3: Fleetwood Mac, "the cadillac of hamburgers" as the line went at the time..
-
Holy crap!!! -- Elvis' "Way Down", another amazing bustout after many many requests.
Damn, I'm impressed. uber-BOS4
-
BOS Elvis!

Amazing that there are NTM Elvis songs still out there. Now that's variety!
-
uber-uber-ultima LN4: ABBA. I truly never need to hear this song again, ever. And I *like* ABBA.
-
BOS5 and proxy of sg: Blondie, "Denis Denis", ooby-doo. Talk French to me, baby.

VHM from me, and uber-wos, ln on Dancin' Queen. I do NOT like ABBA!
-
I LURVE you, I LOAVE you, I LUFF you.
VHM Marvin. From a Dancing Queen to a Dancing Gaye. Heh.
-
BOS for Marvin givin' it up. I remember hearing this first as the soundtrack to "a film by Gary Weis" on Saturday Night Live.
-
06/27/12 - Wednesday! 1977!
1. Ian Dury and the Blockheads - Sex and Drugs and Rock and Roll
(News: Jimmy Carter talking about decriminalization of marijuana)
2. Jackson Browne - Running on Empty
3. Les Dudek - Old Judge Jones
(Movie: Saturday Night Fever - John Travolta "I got a raise today. I knew you'd piss on it.")
4. Bee Gees - Night Fever
(Movie: Saturday Night Fever - "Will ya just watch the hair. "Ya know... I work on my hair a long time and he hits it... he hits my hair.")
5. Eddie and the Hot Rods - Do Anything You Wanna Do
6. Fleetwod Mac - Go Your Own Way
(news: Elvis is dead, has really left the building)
7. Elvis Presley - Way Down
(TV: SNL - Gilda Radner as Babwa Wawa)
8. Abba - Dancing Queen
9. Blondie - Denis
(Movie: Annie Hall - Woody Allen "Love is too weak a word. I lurve you.)
10. Marvin Gaye - Got To Give It Up
Well, despite a couple of unforgiveable LNs, we got *THREE* pretty amazing bustouts: Dudek, Eddie/HotRods and Elvis. (it's really kind of amazing we'd never heard the Presley before, considering we get "Elvis is dead" clips in nearly every '77 outing. It's a fine, underrated 45 IMHO).
I call that a good day.
