I've already put in my minus one for the Proclaimers.

I've already put in my minus one for the Proclaimers.
-2, though I recently discovered my kid likes that song for obvious reasons.
I requested the usual Brit indie stuff - Blur - "Chemical World" (IntEli requested "For Tomorrow" cos he's a 20th century boooyy), Leftfield feat. John Lydon - "Open Up" and my beloved Trashcan Sinatras - "Haaaaayfever". I finally get to listen tomorrow, which means none of these will get played.

and I -1'd Haddaway -- one of the most-played '93 songs of the Morey era.
no way my choices will get played either (Meat Loaf, Tina Turner and Taylor Dayne)
And what's with Giter requesting US3 and (so help me) Tag Team's "Whoomp! There it is!" -- I thought he was a ZZ Top kinda guy.

I have to admit hearing Tag Team would be fun.

and don't forget 95 South's "Whoot! There it is" -- AL should do a Morey-style mega-mix.

I requested my usual Capt. Hollywood Project. I actually wouldn't mind Haddaway, we haven't heard him for like three or four years.

Idea for Dred's Connected set, hopefully on your son's birthday!

Smashing Bumpkins to start. No, that's not a typo.

According to Jennifer Maxwell (who doesn't ring a bell for me), it's Afghan Whigs.

Tried watching Boss - the first episode was ok, nothing special. Has it improved?

We'll have to agree to disagree these days. :) I haven't heard this one in awhile. Reminds me of old KFOG.
ETA: Although I remember constantly confusing Freddie Jones and Freedy Johnston.

I really liked it -- it was a bit... lurid, but then so is politics. It was only 8 episodes, so of you have cable On-Demand, you can catch up easily. And it's been renewed, tho' I'd've been satisfied if it ended after 8 shows.
Song 4 also NTM. And this Mike Meyers movie is pretty awful; not sure what AL sees in it beyond it having been filmed here.
NOOOOOOOOOOOOO! uber-unnecessary Blind Melon. WOS1

I don't get STARZ. I am interested, but my cable bill is already ridiculous.
-
WOS2 "She Don't Use Jelly" or whatever it's called. one of the worst songs EVER.
Seriously, what is the appeal? Stupid lyric, awful vocal.
-
A woman who reminded him of Cher?? :o
-
VHM Broooce, but this is more in the "relic of its time" category.

I agree. I don't mind old KFOG nearly as much as old-but-still-current Kfogalicemixstarlive (i.e. Blind melon, and to a lesser degree smashing pumpkins)

I like it too. No idea why, but I'm not that cerebral when it comes to music. If it reaches, it reaches, Herbert.

"Oh, man. Confusing Dead Can Dance with Dead or Alive may shake my faith in Adam's Rock Guru status."

indeed it was, although some I wouldn't've chosen (I really can't express how much I *HAAAAATE* that Flaming Lips song). I'd venture to say that only the Springsteen and Freddy Jones (maybe Blind Melon?) were played on KFOG in '93. The rest were Live 105 or not on the radio at all. If she can play Positive K then surely she's gotta honor my Biz Markie 1989 request eventually, no?
