Maybe it's time to dust off the Belle Stars vinyl, AL... :)

It was one of my picks, fo' sho'
OMD, "Locomotion"
Belle Stars, "Sign of the Times"
McCartney/MJ, "Say Say Say"
Total Coelo, "I Eat Cannibals"
It seems the more people who "friend" AL on FB, the worse the overall suggestion quality gets.

Yes, I've requested "Cuts Like a Knife". So f--king what. :P

Would that be a bustout? I can't remember Adams ever appearing at 10@10. You'd think it could happen once.

Shirley you jest. We've heard the Canadian with crappy skin more times than I can count (in both the DM and AL eras). "Cuts Like a Knife" was even in the all-Canadian set AL did last year.

You thought my guilty pleasure request was bad -- Giter just requested "Puttin' on the Ritz". ::)

That wouldn't be a bad 10@10 song.
I hope AL lets me have my Revenge.

Yes, I kind of feel like it and EC are saving the set. But I'm still waiting for something special (sorry, the Belles didn't do it for me).

Sarcasm without emoticons doesn't come through in 2011/12.
well, *I* got it. 'cause ah rolls old skool. But I sure needed a "rolls eyes" emoticon over there...
-
yeesh, back to the "dog days" again. I really do not get the love for Lawrence and the Flashine. (sarcasm alert!)

No, no, no, y'all are wrong. It's really Nelly that both PM Dawn *and* Spandau Ballet ripped off.

To be fair to Jose, his literal reading of almost everything is probably due to his ESL status. I don't know what The Rock Guru's excuse is, though . . .

My thoughts exactly, except I'd BOS the Ultravox, Spandau Ballet, and maybe Grandmaster Melle Mel. VHM to EC; great song but I've heard it plenty. The only two songs I would have replaced are the Motels and ZZTop. In this day and age, I'd say that's a win.

I just listened to the set and really enjoyed it I had that Ultravox album on cassette. *high five*
I would have replaced the Femmes and Elvis, although I have to say his background singers and the plinky piano sound fantastic. It's his own voice which sometimes grates.
And I like the rumpled Martha Davis; I saw her at the Marin County Fair -- no, she's not a carny now, she was perf'g at the fantabulous main stage. *fist bump*
The Belle Starts singer sounds a little like the singer from Propaganda. Liked that one a lot, too.

Jenny from The Belle Stars sang backup on The Jam's "Bitterest Pill (I Ever Had to Swallow)". True factoid!
