Tue 8/16/11: OHWs!
and before the set even starts they're playing Tommy Tutone.
...but we kick off with Pilot's "Magic". Oh Ho Ho!

38 David Essex & Catherine Zeta Jones True Love Ways Nov 1994
A duet with CZJ?? my stars!
AAAACK! Blind Melon gets a OHW WOS.
VHM Marc Almond's love of taint; one(HW) for the never-need-to-hear-again list: Mungo Jerry.
Here in my car, I am so overplayed.
BOS Edison Lighthouse, nicest surprise of set and one of 4 hits Tony Burrows sang on in 1970. (per Wiki: "In February 1970, he became the first [and still the only] person to appear on BBC Television's Top of the Pops fronting three different acts in one show: Edison Lighthouse [who were number one that week], White Plains, and Brotherhood of Man." He also sang with the Pipkins.)
WOS2 Autograph. power shlock is right, TC.
BOS2 Chase, gettin' it AWN!
OMFG! kudos to Bob for playing Frida. Phil Collins' peak as a drummer. BOS3.

This was a much better (and more varied) assortment than I was expecting.
Pilot - Magic
David Essex - Rock On
Blind Mellon - No Rain
Soft Cell - Tainted Love
Mungo Jerry - In The Summertime
Gary Numan - Cars
Edison Lighthouse - Love Grows Where My Rosemary Goes
Autograph - Turn Up The Radio
Chase - Get It On
Frida - I Know There's Something Going On
ETA: Bob commented that "the oldest songs we played got the most votes" (Edison Lighthouse won BOS).

Tue 8/16/11: OHWs!
wow, Autograph sounds like a lot of power shlock bands of the era, but Turn Up The Radio has that irresistible hook that makes me want to turn up the online player volume control, bitches!

*shudder*
aaack! WOS1 Boston, "Amanda"
Bring me a higher 'trina. And a pepperoni pizza while yer at it.
BOS REM covering the Clique.
"Wild Wild Life" would rate a VHM and possibly a BOS if KFOG wasn't playing it 27 times a week. You can call Paul Simon 'Trina.
uber-BOS2 live Brooooce, "Because the Night".
VHM Bon Jovi's hair. Even better than Catherine Oxenberg's!
Red rain: the energy drink that tastes like Peter Gabriel! Yum!
Synths-a-plenty: WOS2 Van Hagar. And if I had Huey Lewis', um, endowment, I'd feel pretty hip too.

Talking Heads - Wild Wild Life
Paul Simon - You Can Call Me Al
Bruce Springsteen - Because The Night
Bon Jovi - Living On A Prayer

whatevs gets ya thru a Bob-in-the-'70s set.

VHM Ms Ronstadt. BOS the Dan, logically.
BOS2 EJ, that bitch.
ooo! BOS3 the mighty 'berries, looking for a "Hit Record".
OMFG! Kiki's got the music in her. And possibly a vibrator. BOS4 -- Bob's best, most pop-a-riffic set in a while.

Chicago - Call On Me
The Who - Long Live Rock
Linda Ronstadt - You're No Good
Bad Company - Ready For Love
Steely Dan - Pretzel Logic

no expectations.
aaack! LoverSagaBoy, "Turn Me On The Loose." WOS1.
eeek! WOS2 .38 Special, "Fantasy Girl".
yeesh: Billy Squier.
sheesh: Henley & the Goat.
NOOOOOOOOO! WOS3 Rush, "Limelight". Bob's worst set in ages.
I give up: Genesis has no reply.
Jeezus H Christ on a stick! Rush *AND* Triumph?? WOS4 and this may be Bob's worst 10@10 evah.
man, talk about going out of your way to do all-crappy-AOR-fest. Live LPs are almost always a cheat in this context but Seger's "Old Time RnR" re-do is about as unnecessary as it gets.
and we climax with Foreigner's "Juke Box Hero", which is like Cole Porter compared to what's gone before. Easily one of the worst 10@10s I've ever heard on any station.
Saga - On The Loose
Police - Secret Journey
.38 Special - Fantasy Girl
Billy Squier - My Kinda Lover
Stevie Nicks - Leather And Lace
Rush - Limelight
Genesis - No Reply At All
Triumph - Fight The Good Fight
Bob Seger - Old Time Rock'n Roll (live)
Foreigner - Juke Box Hero
