good gawd, "Stairway to Heaven"! ya don't hear that too often these days -- remember when it was a staple?

It's weird. I heard it on another station a week or so back and was surprised. They don't play it much, which makes it listenable again when they do...

My dog Sam eats purple flowers... I guess there was a bustle in his hedgerow!
-
I must be in an un-receptive mood -- 1971 isn't doing much for me this morning. Must. Have. More. Coffee.
(tuned in late, so didn't hear "Stairway..." -- might have helped)
-
BOS Ms King, singing her own version of "Will You Still Love Me Tomorrow". Guess this is a day for cultural touchstones: "Stairway...", Tapestry, Five Man Electrical Band (OK, kidding on that last one).
-
Might be BOS, though I'm waiting for the Tull offering before deciding...

Maybe it's my desktop speakers, but Ms. King sounds a bit shrill when she tries to hit the high notes.
Ooohh, here's my BOS - "Too Many People"
He still hasn't played any Tull? I got here late. Might be BOS #2.

Not to my knowledge -- but sometimes work interferes with my concentration on what's important, and I miss songs. Listening, but not hearing.

made it in time. woo hooo Too many people. Don't hear this too often.
-
Ooohh, here's my BOS - "Too Many People"
I almost gave it WOS -- oh, the critical brickbats it got at the time -- but I decided it was historically important because it pissed John off so much he wrote "How Do You Sleep?"
VHM Bullet, "White Lies, Blue Eyes". A tasty, minor cheeze-rock gem.
-
Heeeeere's yer Tull! VHM for me.

This music is going to be the best part of my day.

Agreed. I'm going with Ms. King, BOS. But then, I missed the Zep, so I'm not allowing myself to vote for it...

If only all Americans were so principled in their voting!

wow 65 tomorrow. I missed most of a great 71 set. IF ONLY Dave would hit 71 today.
