compare this middling threadbare snoozefest set to AL's 83 set from today. Where's the new wave? U2's Two Hearts ... is the closest we get to a something fresh sounding. But I get it, the Drive isn't the place to hear anything other than AC or AAA or whatever the acronym is.

I'm sure Bob (or his PD) considers Billy Idol, the Romantics, U2 and the Police to be NewWave -- which would make this one of his most left-leaning '80s sets in ages, according to that standard. But yeah, it's the Midwest and we like our rock solid and stolid. The only thing missing is Rush ;)
