"Chartbusters" start with a green-eyed lady and a peace train.

And it would appear that I'm the only Clubber working today.  Le sigh.

I missed the beginning, did she play long-version of Green-Eyed Lady?  Looks like these are all hits from this date in those years (as I recall from AT40 replays).  Good set thus far and You Ain't Seen Nothin' Yet!

Beat me to an almost-jinx!  I wasn't gonna log on today; Chartbusters = No Surprises (usually) but hearing that Lobo was gobsmacking. BOS.

Yes, it was the endless looooong version.  And AL has been sticking to the strict Moreyan interpretation of a VT, er, Chartbusters, meaning big hits from this week in whatever year.  That tends to mean overplayed "classics" like "More Than a Feeling", which is why the Lobo tune was such a treat.

Yes, "More Than A Overplayed Hit"

I'm pretty sure it was the long version.

My older cooler brother won Aerosmith's Rocks LP at some carnival, came home gave it to me.  I was disappointed, so I brought it back to the carnival and traded for a Bay City Rollers album... because that's how I rolled back then.  Now I see the error of my ways.

I'm still fond of More Than A Feeling.  This always brings me back to a specific place, in back of Winslow Elementary School, and some teenager was blasting it from his (her?) car speakers.  The sun was in my eyes.

another BOS to Just Remember I Love You (While You Get Me A Sandwich, Beeeyotch)

Firefall: The Eagles from the Rockies, not that there's anything wrong with that.

BOS to Firefall.  More sensitive and less misogynistic than the Eagles.

And yes, GEL was the long version.

I have to admit, I have an autographed pic of Ambrosia, from years ago.  I especially liked their first two albums, before they went pop.

BOS2 Firefall; proxy of cairo to Ambrosia. This was a better-than-average VT, and AL had one helluva week -- not a bad set in the bunch. I may have to set the alarm for 7 tomorrow morning.

Re: Firefall/Eagles -- I agree. Funny, KPIG played an old Poco song yesterday and I thought: "Eagles without the smarm".

AAAAACK! we were doing so well... WOS Styx.

And with that I'm off, you know, to a George Clooney double-bill.

VHM to cheesy "Babe," though I associate it with '80, not '79.

He's one of the voices in Fantastic Mr Fox -- the Streep and the Clooney, together at last!

I had a somewhat bookended listening experience yesterday.  On the way to Fresno, heard most of show, losing signal at the end during the gag-me-with-a-spoon closer, Babe.  On the way back last night, when I ran out out of CD's my son would approve of, tuned in around Livermore again...to Babe!
