Title: The Sound, 11/19/09: 1969 too
Post by: RGMike on November 19, 2009, 11:16:20 AM
Ramblin' Gamblin' Man by Bob Seger
Dizzy by Tommy Roe
You Can't Always Get What You Want by Rolling Stones
Leaving On A Jet Plane by Peter Paul & Mary
Room To Move by John Mayall
Evil Ways by Santana
The Boxer by Simon And Garfunkel
Bad Moon Rising by CCR
Holly Holy by Neil Diamond
Suite Judy Blue Eyes by Crosby, Stills, And Nash

well, AL wins this matchup hands-down... but props to Larry for "Holly Holy", which Bob also featured recently, tho' Dave/AL never have.

agreed on both your points, but give Larry a very close second.

Both the the Tommie Roe and the PP&M are possibly an ATBB's, certainly Dave never played them in the Db era (the only Peters he played were Frampton, Gabriel, Himmelman, Schilling & Tosh), and the only 'Tommy's' were Castro, James & Tutone.

Also kudos for the S&G and Seger, which had only a small handful of appearances between them.

Actually, AL played "Leaving on a Jet Plane" quite recently, iirc.

Yep, a couple of weeks after Mary Travers' death.
