Title: The Drive, 11/18/09: 1974
Post by: RGMike on November 18, 2009, 09:09:41 AM
Eric Clapton - Motherless Children
Doobie Brothers - Black Water
Linda Ronstadt - You're No Good
Lynyrd Skynyrd - Sweet Home Alabama
Golden Earring - Radar Love
Ray Stevens - The Streak
Bachman Turner Overdrive - You Ain't Seen Nothin' Yet
Wet Willie - Keep on Smiling
Supertramp - Bloody Well Right
John Lennon - Whatever Gets You Thru The Night

how many '74 sets over the years have included "Sweet Home Ala-bummer"? and how often does that come up in the Drive's regular rotation?

For a '74 set, I'm not seeing much there that really stands out--maybe the Ronstadt tune, and perhaps Supertramp. Everything else--even the Lennon--is just kinda meh.

Have there been many Drive sets lately that were remarkable? Seems like they're taking the safe road, not really deviating too much from their regular playlist. Bob used to be quite a bit more adventurous.
