OMG, I have to give this a BOS for sentimental reasons, which I know is a dangerous thing.  But Journey was my first rock concert. Dome Arena, Rochester NY, the Good Rats opened.

i was on Lawn Guyland last week and was trying to find LNG, but couldn't.  Couldn't get get online to research or anything.  I REALLY wanted to hear that station coming over the actual airwaves, so I could show my friends their down-home feel, their incessant yet charming reverb for the jocks, the home grown commercials for the Five and Dime store, etc.  I was sad smiley for a while, I tell ya.   :-[

OMFG! BOS the fabulously talented Rupert Holmes and the cleverest song ever to be hated by no-nothing rock purists.

they're waythehell out in the Hamptons, you've gotta go pretty far East to pick 'em up. I spent a lot of time out there my last summer in NY (1990) and that's why they're so close to my heart.

right, I knew it would be tough, and we were on the North Shore and made it out to Port Jefferson, but by then I had given up all hope.

ETA: we did manage to eat a lot of seafood: steamers -- with those weird clam appendages sticking out from their shells -- lobster roll, we got a soft shell crab for some reason (but I don't think that's local).  good times.

Did you make it to Elephant & Castle in the Village? or did you bypass Manhattan altogether?

Let's Disco!

But this ain't disco, Bob :'(

It's Off-Broadway, "Stay in Time", an only-from-the Drive midwestern radio hit.  VHM, actually.

alas, didn't make it there.  we were in Manhattan a few times (stayed in Bklyn) but I was booked pretty solid and could not do all that I wanted, which is always the case for me in NYC.
