Not quite--I remember hearing it regularly around this time on KZAP, Sacto's long-departed free-form outlet.

You gotta consider though, that Bromberg was living in Marin at the time (he and Jesse Colin Young were probably neighbors on the ridgetop), playing with the likes of Jerry Garcia, Commander Cody, and Maria Muldaur, and he gigged regularly all over northern CA!
