-
speak Santana's name and they shall appear: proxy WOS of everybody, probably, for "Winning", tho I still say it's a good Russ Ballard comp; played his orig version to death in my college radio days.

Who - You Better You Bet
Police - Invisible Sun
Billy Squire - My Kinda Lover
Rolling Stones - Slave
Santana - Winning
Little River Band - The Night Owls
Foreigner - Urgent
Pat Benatar - Fire and Ice
Tom Petty - A Woman in Love
Survivor - Poor Man's Son
Proxy of Gaz LRB; VHM Ms Benatar; the Survivor is NTM, methinks (and eminently forgettable).

no argument there; what happens to Bob in the '80s is positively science-fiction-y -- it's like an AOR pod person takes over

I got not get enough of Invisible Sun when it came out. And I saw the Stones on this 81 tour: they were old then, and who knew they would keep trodding their carcasses across the boards for decades to come. Tattoo You is a fine record, though. LRB is NTM.
