Tune #1 was the Kinks, Tired of Waiting & number 2 was the Animals We've Got To Get Out Of This Place.

TANC - After that he played a clip from the pilot episode of Get Smart, which I actually watched on DVD Saturday night.  The pilot was in black & white, but all the eps were in color.

I was going to note that several of these tunes are Db bustouts, but then remembered that there are only 3 sets from 1965 in the Db, most recently from Sept '05.

Hate the lyrics, but love the riff, and loved this footage in AHDN: Paul playing the expressionless model like a guitar beachside is an indelible image for me.

AHDN or Help!?  This is a '65 set, so I'm puzzled.

I wonder if Bob Dykan ever won an honorary MTV award for his Subterranean Homesick Blues video?  he deserves one:

With any luck this set will be over fast enough that we can get back to KFOG in time for Tune No. 10 (which is worth it, imo).

Yes it is.

PS: Sorry I missed this song; I just quoted it to a friend last week.

Ginsburg was one unattractive dude. Amazing that James Franco is playing him in a movie.

I hadn't heard this - what movie?

I identify with Ginsberg a bit - not as a poet but as a funny-looking guy with a fucked-up love life.

If our theory that whatever doesn't make it into the 'recently played' feature is accurate, then both this song & Tom Jones are from Larry's personla collections.

Dude, you are so NOT "funny-looking". (Esp compared to Ginsburg.)

Larry was right about this being the shortest set ever...we wrap things up in time for the last 3(!) tunes from KFOG
