Oh. My. Fucking. GAWD!!  Bob plays the Carpenters! "Superstar" -- uber-BOS2 for an ATBB. I am absolutely floored.

I emailed Bob to thank him for the Carpenters and he said

Quote
I was telling my wife this morning before I left the house that I was going to play the Carpenters for the very 1st time in my 32 year radio career. She loves the Carpenters and asked me what my thoughts were. I've got 18 years on her and told her that "back in my day" if you liked the Carpenters and ran with my crowd you had to keep it to yourself, kind of a "closet Carpenters" existence. I loved Led Zeppelin and I loved the Carpenters. Tony Peluso's guitar solo in "Goodbye to Love" is my all time favorite guitar solo!

LOL!  He says "hey!" to all in SF and is bummed that Benson (one of his best firends) got canned.

Awesome, thanks for sharing that.... I enjoyed the whole set, too, but Superstar was certainly SuperBOS.

I've never seen Todd Haynes "Superstar" done w Barbie dolls.  has anyone here?

BTW, the Carpenters finished a respectable 3rd in the voting, after the Stones & the Moodies.
