Farewell, Dark Shadows. Hello, "Levon". BOS EJ. One for the "non-Christmas songs that mention Christmas" set
-
Bob gives us the "Shaft" -- he's got the biggest, thickest thumbs you've ever seen!
VHM Santana.
-
The early organ notes in "Nobody to Depend On" sound a lot like the riff Beck sampled for "Where It's At." (Which memory tells me is from Dr. John's "I Walk on Guilded Splinters," a song I've never heard.)

early (Pre-"RP,WT") Dr John -- worth seeking out.
-
a teary-eyed VHM for Morey fave "LA Goodbye". *sniff*
-
TANC: I was listening to "L.A. Goodbye" on my way home from work last night. The re-recorded version I bought off iTunes actually sounds as good as if not better than the original - a rarity, as re-recordings go.
-
BOS2 French Connection -- a great movie for seeing what NYC looked like in the early '70s.
Macca orders a cuppa tea and a potta pie.
-
BOS3 to this druggie comedy clip, which is either Congress of Wonders or Conception Corporation, I get 'em confused (along with the other "C" comedy groups, Credibility Gap and the Committee).
Lawd! Ms King helps "Smackwater Jack" shoot down da congregation! BOS4 to the B-side of "So Far Away" -- I always thought Ode/A&M screwed up, follow-up-single-wise, after "It's Too Late".
