Please let this be one of Bob's better '80s efforts.
-
Bono's wide awake. My coffee hasn't kicked in yet.
-
BOS JCM "Rain on the Scarecrow".
-
TANC: here's the Outfield sounding like Boston again with "Your Love"
-
David Byrne with his little pee-pee and little toes. Er, in the lyrics, I mean.
-
traditional Crapton WOS: revva man, revva man, revva man.
-
Percy burns down one side . One side of what?
-
TANC2: HoJo still thinks things can only get better.
-
BOS2 Fogerty, "RnR Girls"
WOS2 the Firm, "Radioactive". Yeah, dude -- you ARE unattractive.
-
U2 - Bad (live)
JCM - Rain on the Scarecrow
Outfield - Your Love
David Bowie - Dancing in the Street
Talking Heads - Stay Up Late
Eric Clapton - Forever Man
Robert Plant - Burning Down One Side
Howard Jones - Things Can Only Get Better
John Fogerty - Rock 'and Roll Girls
The Firm - Radioactive
Monday: 1969!

compare & contrast: here's the '85 set LA's The Sound did last week:
Running Up That Hill - Kate Bush
Close to Me - The Cure
Like a Surgeon - Weird Al Yankovic
Don't Come Around Here No More - Tom Petty
Some Like It Hot - Power Station
Love is the Seventh Wave - Sting
Pop Life - Prince
Can't Get There From Here - REM
Your Latest Trick - Dire Straits
Smokin' in the Boys Room - Motley Crue
The Weird Al tune is another ATBB from them -- they seem to try to play something off-the-wall (by Triple-A standards) in each set.

See, I would have exactly reversed those. Both are songs recycling previous glory, but I always liked The Firm, and I thought Fogerty just sounded too shrill.

That set is all over the place, in a good way. Dire Straits, Prince, Kate Bush & Motley Crue in the same set?
