And here I always thought *I* was mondegreening it by singing it as 'chauffeur', all the while assuming the correct lyric was 'show for'.

oops, wait a minute -- Gaz confused me. I also thought "chauffeur", but most lyric sites say it is "show for". And I really do think "chauffeur" makes more sense.

And PG has withdrawn from performing the song at the Oscars next week -- he says he was being offered only "65 seconds" to perform a snipptet of it as part of a medley with the other 2 nominees.
