A fine way to start the week -- in a purple haze.
-
Beatles (yay), "GM,GM". Wow, where did Bob find this commercial for the Chicago Trib's story on the Cryan Shames?
Spencer Davis (feat little Steve), "Gimme Some Lovin'", VHM.
-
BOS the Grass Roots, stealing a hook from the Drifters in the time before they discovered horns.

BOS to "Let's Live for Today," mildly ironic advice to someone still in his PJs as he's typing.
PS: The Cryan' Shames' "Sugar and Spice" is one of the worst songs ever.

Q: What happened to Joan of Arc?
A: she Bernadette!
-
BOS2 Sidney Poitier.

-
I didn't get back here in time to anticipate the Joan of Arc joke. ;) BOS2 to 4T's, and HM to the Stones spending some time together.
-
Happy Jack wasn't tall but he was BOS4.
-
as I always say: nothing like a millionaire songwriter teaming up with a millionaire pop group to complain about conspicuous consumption and conformity!. But BOS5 anyway.

Yeah, the guitarist; a name I'd never heard before - Creed Bratton. Crosspost to the "I Didn't Know That!" thread?

You're being sarcastic, right?

Well, obviously he's *IN* Chicago, but still, it's an old local commercial (that probably only ran for one week in 1967) and those are not always easy to come by. Odd that he didn't actually paly a CS song in the set.

Okay, so maybe you didn't read his bio on the website. He's not just *IN* Chicago, he's *IN* the Cryan' Shames! They still perform & for some years now Bob's been their lead singer.
Thought that had come up before.
