Jim Morrison's dad recently passed. He has an interesting bio himself:
George Morrison, a former Navy rear admiral and the father of Jim Morrison, the late singer with The Doors, died Nov 17...

As someone somewhere else remarked, it must have galled him to no end that after all the things he did, he was destined to be remembered by history as "Jim Morrison's dad."

Sure, in the context of this rock-oriented forum, he's "Jim Morrison's dad."  I'm sure to older folks and military types, he's "Admiral George Morrison."
