Woo freakin' Hoo!!

Got in early, can't wait.  Need to be cheered up.

Pre-set song is Floyd "Comfortably Numb", which I show I wish I felt.  My wife and the remaining 800 other folks at the Hayward HQ of Mervyn's were told yesterday to clean out their desks, as the company has failed to emerge from Chapter 11.  Liquidation is all that remains.

Tough times ahead.

Man, my resolve is weakening.  First "Comfortably Numb", then Everybody Must Get Stoned, now Mother's Little Helper.

Drugs!  I need some Drugs!

Okay, here we go, some upbeat Beach Boys is what I really need.

Alicat just called me.  Dave Morey has just announced his retirement.

ETA: he apparently will continue with the 10@10's but not the Morning Show.

Agreeing with Urth here, but my condolences during the time of insecurity.

BOS Dylan; BOS2 the Fab Four, based on a novel by a man named Lear.

One of my least favorite Dylan songs (ahead of only "Lay Lady Lay," "Gotta Serve Somebody," and "Brownsville Girl"), and one of my less favorite Beatles songs (nice bass line, but it actually sounds, oddly enough, like they're imitating the Monkees).

"I'm Losing You," on the other hand, wins BOS just because it summarizes everything I've seen, heard, and read today.

Now off for a vodka and lime ... or rather, rum and weed.
