"Beat on the Brat" is kind of what I had in mind when I called the Ramones a novelty act in a recent blog post.

NTM and certainly an ATBB: Paris, "Big Towne - 2061."  Sounds awfully Steve Millery.

If you're thinking "somewhat cartoonish", I won't disagree; that was the point, to an extent. "Novelty act" connotes something different to me.
