Well said.  I think I'll be distracted by doing dishes during this set.

FWIW, the CandySkins' "FWIW" is not worth all that much.

I thought I recalled you having supportive feelings about this song, and was prepared to differ with you.

This may not top my list of MUR's (most unnecessary remakes), but it certainly gets a VHM in that category.

I may have VHM'd it in a moment of weakness a while back, but I'm over that now ;)

BOS Bonnie with a VHM to former NFL'er Mike Reid, who co-wrote "I Can't make You Love Me", one of the great ballads of the '90s.

I don't usually get excited about Bonnie, but this one is beginning to grow on me.

I don't usually get excited about Bonnie, but this one is beginning to grow on me.

I think it's quite powerful, and not the usual sugar-coated ballad that gets A/C airplay. And I've heard other versions of it, Nancy Wilson, for one (the black Nancy Wilson, not the Heart Nancy Wilson) that are equally fine.

Rembrandts "TJTWIT", an ATBK (Across-the-Board Katrina) at this point.

I think Ginger's played this William Topley  thing before, but she's surely the only one who ever does. VHM.

I can give the former Great Buildings a VHM, because "That's Just The Way It Is, Baby" perfectly summarizes my feelings this Monday.

Wow, I had *completely* forgotten about this song.  I liked it quite well back in the day.

BOS3 Thelma & Louise, but I wish Ginger'd followed it with Glenn Frey's "Part of Me, Part of You".

As this is is one that I associate with my time at UCSB for grad school, here are a few other songs that I liked then that I have never heard since on the radio:

Wendy Wall "Real Love"
Animal Logic "There's A Spy In The House Of Love"
Northern Pikes "The Things I Do For Money"
Indio "Hard Sun" (which Eddie Vedder covered last year)
and some other really cool song that name-dropped Jack Kerouac which I've never found again.

I give that LA Story clip a BOS, just loved that movie.  Just 2 out of many classic moments in it: Rick Moranis' uncredited cameo & the scene where they all order their coffees.

God bless Ginger & her love of John Prine.
