can't recall the video, but yeah, a BOS.

speaking of XTC, I am 100% positive that "Generals and Majors" is a Katrina, haven't checked the DB, but I just know -- not that I don't love that song, but Dave seems to play it about half the time its year (85?) come up.

I defer to mshray for definitive proof (my copy of the DB won't let me do searches anymore), but I do believe you're correct.

And speaking of Katrinas (and overplayed tracks in general): B-52s, "Roam".

We're being very Moreyish today: Chris Isaak followed by Adrian Belew. (WTF *is* it with '89 anyway?)

in theory, I'm an Adrian Belew fan -- saw him at the DC's 9:30 club in 84 or so? -- but this song never caught on w me....

It's his only "radio hit" as a solo act -- it was very big on NYC alternative stations and presumably elsewhere -- and so that makes it Triple-A fodder these days.

Crapton has "No Alibis" as to why he's, er, crappy.

Clapton + Bonnie Raitt = virtual snooze bar for me

But here's the 1989 Katrina of Katrinas! FYC, "Good Thing". Marcus/Ginger's most disappointing set in some time.

Your instincts are on target. Per the Shraytabase, it's in 24.1% of the sets from its year (81, not 85), comfortably into the K zone.
