Title: KBCO, 8/8/08: 1983
Post by: RGMike on August 08, 2008, 08:59:58 AM
Ginger had a "hankerin'" for '83.  Funny, I can't say I've *ever* had that.  John Hiatt rides wit da King to start.

I have, and I got a great set from Dave for my 40th b-day way back when.

My usual gripe in '83: we get a Vacation clip, but we never hear "Holiday Road" all the way thru.  But Todd makes his 2nd appearance of the day, bangin' on de drum.

Not like I ever wanted to stay away from a bad influence.
Maybe BOS.

BOS #3 "Walking In Your Fuutsteps".

While I find Sting's odd enunciation mildly annoying, this is still one of my favorite Police songs.  I saw them in concert that year & Andy Summers just wailed on this.

Something of a frequent flier, but BOS2 anyway to Mr Crenshaw's "Whenever You're on My Mind".

Crapton's "Rock'n'Roll Heart" is pretty much the antithesis of RnR -- I'm shocked! shocked, I tells ya! ;)

CLapton still sounds good. Better than the Police.

Ginger has played other songs by The The, can't recall it being this one though.  Dave on the other hand has never played The The at all during the Db era.

That's astounding, actually.
