Title: The Drive, 6/20/08: 1986

This will surely pale in comparison to the '73 set we just heard, but I'll give Bob the benefit of the doubt, at least to start.

me too.

Listening from home today, start the new job on Monday.  Not sure how the new job will affect my ability to tune in.

indeed -- I remember it being a sorta medium-sized hit at the time; now it's one of the most-overplayed of '80s Classic Rock oldies.

And we come full circle, back to my orig point about how live remakes of hits are a cheat on 10@10, with Brooce's "Hungry Heart"  -- just not the same w/out Flo & Eddie.  This LP was IMHO a miscalculation. An artist renowned for his live covers of other people's hits (from Chuck Berry to the Village People)  -- indeed, that has always been one of the selling points of seeing his live show -- and they put, like, 3 covers on a 5-disc set, but include EIGHT songs from Born in  the USA. I was majorly disappointed at the time.
