Jim Croce 2 days in a row -- how often does THAT happen? BOS2 "Operator", a lovely tune and a fine example of economical story-songwriting.

It's just not 1972 without The Godfather. Bada-bing!

Got home in time for half of it!  Missed "Operator," alas - I'm overdue for a Croce comp on CD (I still have one on cassette, but I haven't pulled out my cassette player in a few years).

I'm actually contemplating a visit sometime this year: I have a lot of unused vacation time and a  :P friend just offered to let me stay at his place whenever I want to come visit.  Maybe something in August or September.  I'll move this to another thread when I've thought about it some more.

I always thought it was "fall and rise", but either way it's some of the best sexual symbolism this side of "Logs on the fire/Fill me with desire"

to which I must add: it's not just a "mafia movie", it's a metaphor, one of the most amazing in cinema history. And you have to see G-1 *and* G-2 for the full effect. And it's on cable at least once a month.
