Bob in '84: be afraid. But pre-set we got Procol Harum's "Salty Dog" and Johnny Nash's "Stir it Up", an impressive pair.
-
Bruce, "BOTUSA" to start.
-
BOS live Heads, "Psycho Killer". I hate people when they're not polite!
-
"human sacrifice... dogs & cats living together... the dead rising from their graves!"
and speaking of the latter: John with a posthumous hit.
-
a VHM from me for Mr Henley's overplayed and underloved "All She wants to Do...". This is still a fine LP all the way 'round.
-
BOS2 and nicest surprise so far: Tina T, "What's Love Got To Do With It?" -- didn't expect this from Bob, and Dave tends to ignore Ms Turner altogether. Glad I stuck around.
-
no surprises here: U2, "Pride" and VH, "Jump". No chance of Bob playing Aztec Camera, I guess.
-
inevitable Cars.
-
Holy Crap! BOS3 and an even bigger surprise: EJ's "Sassons", er, "Sad Songs". Somebody musta told Bob he needs more Pop and less Midwestern Rock in his '80s sets. Kudos on his most balanced '84 set ever:
Bruce Springsteen Born in the U.S.A.
Talking Heads Psycho Killer (live)
John Lennon Nobody Told Me
Stevie Ray Vaughan Cold Shot
Don Henley All She Wants to Do is Dance
Tina Turner What's Love Got to Do With It
U2 Pride (In the Name of Love)
Van Halen Jump
Cars Drive
Elton John Sad Songs (Say So Much)
-
One of my least favorite of Elton's big hits, actually - mostly because I hate the bridge. Lack of effort = demerits.
