OMG!  Hot Tuna "Hesitation Blues"  early BoWeek contender.

Very Bay Area-centric first half for Ginger, Hot Tuna preceeded by "Sugar Magnolia" and followed by "Up Around The Bend"

...you can ponder perpetual motion...

another WOW! for Lennon's "Remember".  When was the last time anyone heard this on the radio?

Whoa, tuned in in the middle of John Lennon's Remember--I'm realizing where Jeff Tweedy's been getting some of his musical ideas lately.

belated BOS for the clip of "Everybody Wants To Be A Cat" from The Aristocats, TANC, my kindergartner demanded that I read him that last night from our big book of Disney classics.  I can name you the 2 humans, the 2 dogs, the mouse and the top 7 feline characters in that movie.

Maybe that's why it was sounding so good to me.  Y'all know I'm not the biggest fan of solo Lennon, but I thought that really held up well.  Maybe it's cuz it's influence has been more recently felt as you suggest.

This James Taylor song took me a few seconds to ID--I don't think I've ever heard it, on the radio or otherwise. It's more upbeat than I'm used to from him. Suite for 20G definitely wasn't a hit. Another score for Ginger.

Yet another major deep cut wow! JT's "Suite for 20G" the final cut on the Sweet Baby James LP, reiterating from earlier...when was the last time anyone heard this on the radio?  Lovely backing vox from Carole King too.

ETA:  Rather suspect Mike will rue missing this one.

I'd bet you're right. Ginger is right in his wheelhouse with these songs. Surprised he's been able to stay away from the computer as much as he has, but that's what a vacation is about. He and Gaz should be dining together tonight or tomorrow?

Not quite the rarity of the Lennon or JT songs, but nevertheless a nice deep cut from Layla: Keep On Growin'.

And the intro pulled from that Johnny Cash show was pretty great too.

OK, this is the 4th OMG moment of the set - live Derek and the Dominos with an intro from the Man In Black.

Where's this from?

ETA: I thank Urth for the correction.
