Bob battles Dave for celluloid supremacy.

That was a pretty awful Oscar montage, Bob.  This better get better pronto.

Yikes, Loggins to start, from the Oscar-laden... Caddyshack?

Unless Pee-Wee's Big Adventure was an Oscar nominee, I feel like "Tequila" misses the point.  I'd rather hear "Evergreen," believe it or not.

not only that, Dave played "Tequila" in the 6:00 hour.  And I guess these are "movie songs" as opposed to "Oscar movie songs", but still.

Well, OK, a Graduate clip followed by "Mrs Robinson". Proxy of cairo, because the Bancroft still rules.

"Would you like me to seduce you?"  BOS1.

When Bob said "and now from 1969..." I was so hoping for "Everybody's talkin'". But instead, Steppenwolf.

HM to "Yellow Submarine" just because that's my second favorite movie of all time.

1. The Muppet Movie
2. Yellow Submarine
3. Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory
4. The Wizard of Oz
5. Blazing Saddles
6. A Hard Day's Night
7. Waiting for Guffman
8. The Muppets Take Manhattan
9. Young Frankenstein
10. Valley of the Dolls

(I'm sure I'm forgetting a bunch of faves.)

From your lips to God's (or Bob's) ears!

except for Guffman and Valley, you could've been 10 when you made that list... ;)

I'm guessing that's the original WW&TCF, which is actually a dreadful film with awful songs ("candy man" excepted in the sammy davis version only).

So how many of these will Dave repeat? I'm betting on Simple Minds and Nilsson. And please GAWD not the Loggins.

Just as long as no one plays Celine Dion.

OMG!  BOS2 to "9 to 5."  And not just for the kitsch factor - it's a great lyric, and a fine movie.

OMG! Bob plays Dolly!  Which is another one Dave may repeat.

for the record, my suggestions to Dave were:

"Rock'n'Roll High School"
"Theme from 'Midnight Express'"
"Fame" or "Flashdance" (both would be overkill, don'cha think?)
"Shape of Things to Come" (from "Wild in the Streets")

"Sweet Home Chicago" was a given, I suppose. At least it wasn't their dreadful cover of "Gimme Some Lovin'".

Now I almost want to poke out MY eyes. But that wouldn't stop the noise.
