there's nothin' like Ginger in the '70s.

Especially when she starts with something as rare as "Acadian Driftwood."

BOS1 of presumed many, "Why Can't We Be Friends."  I can't get sick of this one.

Oh my! BOS3 Bonnie, the distaff version of "What Do You want the Boy/Girl to do" -- Boz handled the male version of this. An Allen Toussaint compo iirc.

And while I knew she'd done it, I didn't realize her version predated Boz's. Ya learn somethin' every day.

Really wish I'd heard Acadian Driftwood. Damn.

I've said this before: Home Plate is worth seeking out. Her El Lay, "I can do the Ronstadt thing too" album, and it works beautifully.

OK, was that movie clip from Tommy? Or Lisztomania? Both Ken Russell films, both from the mid-70s, and I think both starred Daltrey iirc.

Never saw the latter, but I remember it being out and thinking the concept was kind of weird. Franz Liszt as rock star. Being played by a rock star. Hmmmm. Cocaine, it's a hell of a drug.

Daltrey as Franz Liszt & Ringo as the Pope.  Nicely done by Ginger.

Lisztomania, methinks. Ringo wasn't in Tommy, I don't think.

Soudning good.  But wouldn't it be something to finish this set with, say, Willie Nelson or Freddy Fender?

Bonnie had her legs in that position a LOT in the '70s  ;)

Don't hold yer breath, bub.  But yeah, "Wasted Days & Wasted Nights" would make my week.

I thought sure Ginger'd follow Mr Kneivel with "Evel Woman". But rare C/N is a nice set-closer.

I'll happily settle for Crosby-Nash.  "Carry Me" to one more BOS.

Wow, now here's one I haven't heard since the 70s--Crosby and Nash, Carry Me. Crosby's voice sounding a bit, umm, worn, at the time.
