Title: The Peak, 12/28/07: 1975

Bob will also be doing '75 today. Meantime, Rob's got a squeeze box, after playing Murray Head's forgotten orig version of "Say it Ain't So".

BOS to Murray Head, and HM to Roxy Music though "Love Is the Drug" is approaching Katrina status in my mind.  I'd rather hear "Out of the Blue," though I think that was '73?

Anyway, still more examples of why 1975 is my favorite year of the rock era after 1967.

BOS Don Johnson in A Boy and His Dog, a true cult classic.  VHM Macca -- the ring at the end of his nose makes him look like Mademoiselle Kitty.

I hope they saw Desmond and Molly at the rock show too!

"Gender-Bending in the Songs of Paul McCartney" -- a Masters thesis waiting to be written.

No joke!  He really did have a fascination with it, right down to Sweet Loretta Martin.

But he traded it all in for an amputee fetish. ;)

Didja hear he bought Heather a plane for Christmas?  And a ladyshave for her other leg.

(Just pretend they're still together.)

Meanwhile, VBOS to "Time Warp" in its entirety - great way to close!

OMFG! let's do the Time Warp!!!  BOS2. Oh fantasy free me!

Queen Bohemian Rhapsody
Ambrosia Nice, Nice, Very Nice
Paul Simon 50 Ways to Leave Your Lover
Murray Head Say it Ain't So
Who Squeeze Box
Little Feat All That You Dream
Roxy Music Love Is The Drug
Paul McCartney Venus And Mars / Rock Show
Aerosmith Walk This Way
Rocky Horror Picture Show Time Warp

Not bad, tho' a few more trademark Rob-isms would've helped. Glad I missed Bo-'trina-ian Rhapsody, coulda done wiithout Aerosmith.  But at least he played Python/Grail in the correct year -- we'll see if Bob tries again in a few. Hey Rob -- Murray Head didn't have the "title role" in JCS; he played Judas.
