Rocky Mountain wayyyyyt a minute! I never realized this song is about Nixon:

"Well he's tellin' us this
And he's tellin' us that
Changes it every day
Say's it doesn't matter
Bases are loaded and Casey's at bat
Playin' it play by play
Time to change the batter"

OMFG! That's a revelation!

WOS "Brother Louie", one of the decade's most overrated singles.

I remember hearing a live version of this song in the mid-70s that changed the fifth line to "bases are loaded and Nixon's at bat," which laid it right out there. Don't think it was commercially released though (it's not on You Can't Argue With a Sick Mind, Joe's live one), must have been a radio-only thing.
