It's actually better to hear this in context of 1981, since it really isn't supposed to be a seasonal song, but rather a minor protest song against inter-racial violence that was going on at the time in Thatcherite England.

Yep! And the clip from On Golden Pond that led into it was pretty funny, too!

Wonder if Ginger knows what romeos are? (I know you guys all know...)

oh those lucky Denver-ites: they get the stage version of "White Xmas" this year instead of SF.  Like they don't get enough snow.
