I wanted to like Blues Traveler, but too many of their songs sound just like this.

I like it, but I don't get all excited about it.

I will get excited about Marc Cohn, BOS #1.

WOS to Marc Cohn's "Ghost Train."  BO-ring.  I really think he only had one song in him.

On the other hand, major BOS to Massive Attack's "Safe From Harm," which used to be a listening staple on long late-night bus trips.  What a great performance and production.

I dunno, I kinda like "Silver Thunderbird", which I guess you find absurd.

This Massive Attack -- no surprise KFOG ignored this, just as they ignored US3.

Shotgun!  "Get a Leg Up" wasn't a big hit, but it struck me as a comeback since JCM had sounded bored on his previous.

Ginger's sure pulling out a few songs I've heard rarely or never. This JCM is definitely in that category--and not one of his better efforts, although I'd take it over Justice and Independence in a New York minute.

Ditto -- this CD holds up rather nicely, as tribute albums go.

I'd bet that's exactly why they liked it. If you don't think about it, it sounds kinda, well, flashy, but it really has no deeper meaning. Unlike Seafood Mama which evokes visions of fried clams and chowder in bread bowls.

[Homer Simpson voice]MMMMMM.... fried clams and chowder...[/Homer Simpson voice]

actually, I think Seafood Mama evokes that old joke about 3 blind lesbians on a tuna boat... but that's just me.
