BOS TOTHC Ringo, "You're Sixteen"  - a fab production and an improvement on the original.

the preacher and the teacher, LAWD! they *still* a caution. But who are these supposed Texans and why are they "looking to the East"?

BOS3 Stevie, headin' for Higher Ground. So he's into Jeezus but he also believes in reincarnation? Neat trick, Mr Wonder.

The two needn't be mutually incompatible.  Depends on what one thinks Jesus was.  If one takes him to be a metaphor, no more the son of God than you or I, the concepts can co-exist.  Probably other scenarios too.  But I'll leave it at that.

The Zep track was just sampled for a minor charter by the same guy (Sean Kingston) who sampled "Stand By Me" for the monster hit "Beautiful Girls" (a/k/a "that stupid SOOO-i-CII-dal song") earlier this year.

I had to restart my computer halfway through Stevie, back in time for the Mighty Zep.

Oh, now this is more like it.  BOS to "Kodachrome," and a proxy of Urth I think.

Well, I agree with all that but (perhaps I'm stereotyping here) I have to assume Stevie was raised in the usual black church thang, which *would* preclude anything else. So if he's evolved beyond that, then more power to him.

"Everything looks worse in black and white" - Simon cleverly packed a lot of meaning into that little line.  I miss that kind of songwriting.

BOS4 "Kodachrome"  "I got a cel-phone camera" just doesn't have the same ring to it.  I'll never forget the NYC radio station that edited the "crap" line for the first month or so that they played this. Finally they gave up and played it uncensored.

Looks like I've missed a great set so far. Better late than never....
