She read an email from a woman in FLA wondering why they play 10@10 at noon (hope she was kidding), and then she said "whether you're hearing "10@noon" in Florida or "10@9" in San Francisco, welcome!"

"sit down and SHUT UP!" -- damn, another missed opportunity to play "Holiday Road".

I don't think I ever heard "Ridin' with the King" until the Crapton/King remake -- didn't realize it went back this far.

Once again, very nearly a jinx.

BOS to "Blue Monday" - rare to not hear the '88 remix.

I'd say "crapton JINX" but that happens way too often.

BOS New Order, "Blue Monday" -- the connection between disco and New Wave made flesh.  Cannot WAIT to see the new movie Control, about Joy Divison's Ian Curtis, which is getting rave reviews.

BOS2 TFF.  VHM PonyBoy -- greasers Vs soc's in The Outsiders.

And BOS3 Richard Thompson -- this was totally not on NY radio radar in '83.

BOS Richard Thompson.  How come Dave never plays him?

Well, he plays "Vincent Black Lightning"   Obviously the man needs to write more motorcycle songs.

VHM Plimsouls -- one of the many then-current songs on the Valley Girl sndtk (which didn't actually exist until years later -- I worked with a woman who LOVED that movie so much she bought every single song and made her own sndtk mixtape).
