Steve Downes practically read the whole setlist before he signed off, didn't he?

ZZ Top cleans up its act.  Liked this when it came out, enjoying it progressively less as the years go by.

BOS Eurythmics.  BTW, Annie Lennox's new album, Songs of Mass Destruction, is fantastic.  Bought it yesterday.

This Journey ballad = grated parmesan.

To be fair, this is what 1983 sounded like to me -- but that's because Bob's cleaving closely to the charts, and so did my radio then.

I almost got kicked out of Uncle Bert's Place once for doing that.

Silence, haters!  I like the Goat on "Stand Back"!  (Which recently re-charted on the Dance/Club Play charts, no idea who was re-promoting it or why.)

I can feel no sense of pleasure from hearing "Leave It" for the umpteenth time, and I was one of its defenders.

similar thoughts.  I thought back then, "How cool is it that a largely a capella track becomes such a big hit?"  Now I just think "go away".

WOS4 (!) Bryan Adams. I think this is a new record for me, for WOS's in one set.

WOS #4 this song cuts like a knife, yet it doesn't feel so right.

ETA: Bob's throwing it all away.

Hope Ginger is up for offering some redemption...

I hadn't hear "Cuts Like a Knife" in many years; I initially misidentified it as Don Henley and noted some similarities to "Heart of the Matter."

Lindsey Buckingham's "Holiday Road" would have gone a long way toward saving this set.

hmmm, a live version of Solsbury Hill.  More interesting than anything else in this set, I guess.

This live "Solsbury Hill" is the first cut in this set not to be a Top 40 charter.

I would've forgiven all if Bob had played "Holiday Road" in its entirety.

Live "Solsbury Hill" -- oh yeah, this immediately springs to mind when I think of 1983. NOT!
