proxy of Beej: the 'mats.  VHM Spinal Tap clip.  I remember seeing ST at the Greenwich Theater in Manhattan when it was brand-new, the audience felt it had discovered something (it would be years before it would accumulate cult status, much less become a cultural touchstone)

BOS3 Los Lobos, "Will The Wolf Survive?". Waylon Jennings would cover this a few years later.

Oh My Yes.

And for comparison, we're halfway thru and this Style Council is really the closest to a Moreytrina we've heard.

Have ya noticed we haven't been hearing commercials at the halfway mark lately?  Conscious decision, or just the 'BCO sales staff falling down on the job?

Live Neville Bros, "Fever" -- new to me. Aaron, you're no Peggy Lee.  But this gets points for rarity.

I'd put it No. 1 if we got Eddy Grant's "Romancing the Stone" to close.  Does anyone else remember that one?  I don't know that I've heard it in 20 years.  Might have to YouTube search for it.

I remember it now that you brought it up, but had not thought of it in 20 years either.

I'm digging the Neville's take on "Fever", which I think they played in concert when I saw them in '88 or '89.

Thanks Ginger!

At the same time, I can see why RLJ was annoyed with Sheryl Crow for what she perceived as mimickry.

Indeed, that 2nd Conan flick was horrendously bad.

If the Rockies make it to the World Series, maybe we can persuade Ginger to do the "baseball set" Dave wouldn't do in 2002.
