...hand in hand is the only way to land, arms are right way 'round.
-
Hand in hand is the only way to land! BOS!
Hand in hand JINX!
-
Chrissie baby -- show me the meaning of the word! BOS2.
-
VHM to "Show Me," kind of a forgotten charter from the Pretenders.
-

Hand in hand JINX!
Haha, I've always loved that line.
-
BOS "I Will Dare" the 'Mats & proxy for Urth no doubt.
-
proxy of Beej: the 'mats. VHM Spinal Tap clip. I remember seeing ST at the Greenwich Theater in Manhattan when it was brand-new, the audience felt it had discovered something (it would be years before it would accumulate cult status, much less become a cultural touchstone)
-
BOS3 Los Lobos, "Will The Wolf Survive?". Waylon Jennings would cover this a few years later.
-
BOS #3 Los Lobos, another song I find absolutely sublime.
-
Ginger, you're the best thing that's happened to radio in quite some time.
-
BOS #4, Style Council. Sweet!
-
BOS4 Style Council!
-
Ginger, you're the best thing that's happened to radio in quite some time.
a narrowly missed jinx here.
-
Ginger, you're the best thing that's happened to radio in quite some time.
Oh My Yes.
And for comparison, we're halfway thru and this Style Council is really the closest to a Moreytrina we've heard.
-
Have ya noticed we haven't been hearing commercials at the halfway mark lately? Conscious decision, or just the 'BCO sales staff falling down on the job?
-
HM to Pac-Man Pasta, which I remember all too well.
-
Pac-Man Pasta! LOL!
VHM REM, Pasta Persuasion.
-

with everything a growing Gaz needs!
-
BOS #5 "Pretty Persuasion".
Premature to call this the best '84 set on record?

God-DAMN your confusion!
It's certainly in the top 5.
-
Bust-out, break-out, smash-out "Fever"!
-
Live Neville Bros, "Fever" -- new to me. Aaron, you're no Peggy Lee. But this gets points for rarity.
-
BOS #5 "Pretty Persuasion".

I'd put it No. 1 if we got Eddy Grant's "Romancing the Stone" to close. Does anyone else remember that one? I don't know that I've heard it in 20 years. Might have to YouTube search for it.

I remember it now that you brought it up, but had not thought of it in 20 years either.
I'm digging the Neville's take on "Fever", which I think they played in concert when I saw them in '88 or '89.
-
A twin-spin of live tracks. VHM to TH.
-
it's a live music twin-spin. BOS5 "Psycho Killer" fa-fa-fa-fa-fa-fa-fa-fa-fa!
-
Stop Making Sense version of "Psycho Killer", BOS #6
-
A twin-spin of live tracks. VHM to TH.
live JINX-spin!
-
Had Rickie Lee Jones been listening to the Motels?
-
another rarity: RLJ.
-
Had Rickie Lee Jones been listening to the Motels?
only the Jonesy.
-

LOL! (really not LQTM!)
-
One final BOS for RLJ "It Must Be Love".
I'm calling it now. Best '84 set on record.
Thanks Ginger!
-
At the same time, I can see why RLJ was annoyed with Sheryl Crow for what she perceived as mimickry.
-
Indeed, that 2nd Conan flick was horrendously bad.
If the Rockies make it to the World Series, maybe we can persuade Ginger to do the "baseball set" Dave wouldn't do in 2002.
-
Aaron, you're no Peggy Lee.
"Is that all he is?"
TANC; WLNG just played the McCoys' version of "Fever", which they turned into a sound-alike follow-up to "Hang on Sloopy" (!)
