Dang, I liked Weather Report A LOT.  Y'all may recall at one of the shindigs at my place I made you all listen to a Weather Report song called "Confians" from their 1984 album Sportin' Life, which was sung in Cajun Creole.  But none of our francophone guests could interpet the lyrics so I still don't know what it says.  That & of course "Birdland" are permanently in my top shuffle play songs list.

dang. i liked joe zawinul a lot. didn't know he was sick. i hope birdland in vienna still carries on.
